RIVERDALE, NY – Sophomore Ryan Addlesberger (Cinnaminson, NJ) of the Manhattan College men's track & field team has been selected Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Field Performer of the Week. He won the shot put and finished 10th in the weight throw at the Seahawk Shootout last weekend.
Addlesberger got out to a distance of 16.26 meters (53 feet, 4¼ inches) to easily win the shot put competition for the second straight week. That effort also qualified him for the IC4A Indoor Championships. In the weight throw, he had a best mark of 12.96 m (42'6¼), which was good for 10th place overall.
This is the third MAAC weekly honor for the Jaspers this season. Tom Bonaro (Men's Track) and Marisa Robbins (Women's Field) were recognized last week.
The Jaspers have a month off until their next competition. Manhattan returns to action with the Tiger Invitational at the New Balance Armory Track & Field Center on Jan. 14.
