Kevin Ross is in his fourth year at Manhattan College and is the Director of Sports Communication and Media Relations.
In his first year, Ross oversaw the Men's Basketball Team's Media Relations efforts during the Jaspers' run to a second-straight MAAC Championship. He also served as the one of the primary administrators for the 2015 and 2016 MAAC Baseball Championships, which were held at Dutchess Stadium.
Ross comes to Riverdale after spending the last nine years as the Assistant Director of Media Relations at Wagner College in Staten Island. During his tenure on Grymes Hill, Ross oversaw the media efforts for numerous sports, including the men's basketball and baseball programs. Under his watch, he helped place and arrange numerous national spots including an ESPN feature on current Rhode Island head men's basketball coach Dan Hurley and his brother, current Arizona State head coach Bobby Hurley, as well as a Fox Sports feature with Wagner head coach Bashir Mason.
Ross also served as the Interim Director of Media Relations for four months during the 2010-2011 season and helped the Seahawks garner national attention as two of his videos went viral, landing on SportsCenter's Top 10 plays of the night. He also spearheaded a promotional campaign for former Seahawk and 2009 American League Rookie of the Year Andrew Bailey and was named the “SID of the Week” in the 2013 season by College Baseball Today columnist Eric Sorenson.
A 2003 graduate of St. Bonaventure University with a degree in Journalism & Mass Communication, he broke into athletics as an intern for the 2002-03 season in the Bonnies' media relations department. Following graduation, Ross served as a graduate assistant in media relations at Kent State from 2003-05 while earning his master's degree in sports management.
Ross also worked the 2016 NCAA Basketball Tournament at the Barclays Center and served as a volunteer at the 2014 NCAA East Regional at Madison Square Garden. He has also worked with the Brooklyn Nets as a member of their game-night stat crew and volunteered for the NBA Draft in each of the last five years.
