Made an immediate impact as a rookie ... Hit .244 (21-for-86) with 21 hits, eight runs, four doubles, nine RBI and three walks … Had six multi-hit and one multi-RBI games… Played in 29 games, starting 23… Went 3-for-6 with two runs, a double and a RBI in win against Lehigh (3/19)… Went 2-for-4 with two RBI in series-clinching victory over Niagara (3/26) ... In win over Siena (4/2), was 2-for-3 ... Followed that up by going 3-for-4 with a run at Army West Point (4/5) ... Doubled and scored two runs in series-clinching victory at Rider (4/30) ... Went 2-for-5 with two runs, one double and one RBI in win against Hofstra (4/26) ... Rapped out two hits at Stony Brook (3/21) … In victory at Army West Point (4/11), singled, walked, scored and drove in a run.

Played his prep ball at Hilton High School under the direction of Jeff Murphy ... Earned three letters for the Cadets … Two-time All-State selection, earning Third Team honors as a senior and Sixth Team accolades as a sophomore … All-Greater Rochester as a senior and All-County pick in each of his final three years … Also played travel ball for Rochester Collegiate Baseball League ...
