Convery Named MAAC Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week

Edison, N.J. (March 10, 2008) -- Manhattan College freshman attacker Tara Convery has been named MAAC Rookie of the Week in women's lacrosse.

Convery received the honor based on her performance against Lafayette University last week in the Lady Jaspers' 17-13 win over the Lady Leopards.  In that match, she had three goals, giving her 10 goals and 1 assist for 11 points on the young season. In her first four games of the year, she has scored 2, 2, 3 and 3goals respectively.  The Lady Jaspers are now 3-1 on the season.
