RIVERDALE, N.Y. - CBS anchor Harry Smith recently visited the Manhattan College campus to speak with head men's basketball coach Barry Rohrssen and freshman center Kevin Laue. The feature aired nationally on Thursday morning. Click on the link above to watch the story over the web.
Laue is a 6'11" one-handed center from California who averaged 10 points and five rebounds last year as a post graduate at Fork Union Military Academy in Virginia. Due to a complication at birth, Laue's left arm stops just below his elbow. He is believed to be the first student-athlete with a disability of this nature to receive a Division I basketball scholarship.
The Early Show is a morning news talk show that airs 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. Monday through Saturday nationally on CBS.
