RIVERDALE, N.Y. - The Manhattan College men's basketball team received its second National Letter of Intent during the NCAA's Early Signing Period from Ryan McCoy, a 6'7" forward from Skillman, N.J. McCoy was an All-Somerset County honoree last season as a junior at Montgomery High School for head coach Kris Grundy. He played AAU ball for Team NJABC under head coach Matt Pauls.
McCoy averaged 10 points, six rebounds, five assists and one block guiding Montgomery to a 24-6 overall record and a second place finish in New Jersey's Division Central Group IV. He was also a First Team All-Conference selection helping the Cougars win the Skyland Conference, Delaware East Division with a 9-1 record. McCoy earned a spot on the 2009-2010 All-Somerset Defensive Team.
The Jaspers have already received a National Letter of Intent from 6'4", 195-pound guard Zach Lamb. The junior transfer from Miami Dade College was a 2009-2010 First Team All-Southern Conference selection playing for head coach Matt Eisele.
