GENERAL: Lefty pitcher who can be used as a starter or out of the bullpen... delivers a good change up... crafty left-handed pitcher with good off speed stuff.

2012: MAAC All-Academic Team honoree... appeared in 11 games, starting twice... maintained a 4.74 ERA and posted 15 strikeouts in 19 innings of action... did not allow an earned run in three MAAC appearances... made season debut at Florida Atlantic (2/25) striking out two batters in one inning of work...pitched in relief in wins over West Virginia (3/18), Niagara (4/7) and Sacred Heart (4/10)... earned first career start earning the win over Columbia (4/18) going five scoreless innings, yielding only three hits and one walk, while striking out a season-high four batters... went five straight appearances without letting up an earned run from April 7 - 22... played summer ball with the New York Atlantics of the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League (ABCL)... named to the 2012 ACBL All-Star Team, finishing the season with a 2.83 ERA with a team-high 49 strikeouts in 35 innings over nine appearances.

2011:
Made collegiate debut against Fairleigh Dickinson (3/30) before suffering season ending injury.

BEFORE MANHATTAN: Four year letterwinner at Chaminade High School on Long Island... posted 13-1 record, 1.34 ERA and 107 strikeouts in 74 innings between his high school and summer ball seasons as a sophomore... as a junior, recorded eight wins, 2.94 ERA and 58 strikeouts in 56 innings... named Pre-Season All-Long Island for Baseball Player Magazine as a senior... listed #8 on Blue Chip Prospects Class of 2010... lettered two years on the cross country team and two years on the indoor track team at Chaminade.

PERSONAL: Majoring in secondary education... the son of Edward and Maureen Martin... mother lettered in swimming at Oneonta State University... has a brother Eddie who graduated from Catholic University... four year Honor Roll student and member of the National Honor Society... has two cousins who played Division I athletics, Chris O'Neill (Boise State - Football) and Stephen Fealy (Columbia University - Baseball).
