RIVERDALE, N.Y. -
Manhattan College freshman pitcher Michael Scarinci earned national recognition for his complete game two-hit victory at Canisius as he was named to the Primetime Performer Honor Roll by CollegeBaseball360.com on Tuesday. Scarinci was one of 16 players in NCAA Division  to earn the prestigious accolade.

Scarinci helped lift Manhattan to a 7-0 victory over Canisius on Sunday, which clinched the three game conference series for the Jaspers. He carried a perfect game into the sixth inning and retired the minimum 21 batters that he faced in the seven inning affair. The right-hander from Nanuet, N.Y. had four strikeouts and did not allow a walk as he improved to 3-1 in MAAC action. Scarinci earned the MAAC Rookie of the Week award for the second time this season.

Manhattan is back in action on Wednesday when the Jaspers visit Albany at 3:30 p.m. The Jaspers have won 15 of their last 18 contests and control first place in the MAAC with a 10-5 league mark.
