Three Jaspers Named to NABC Honors Court

RIVERDALE, N.Y. -  Three Manhattan College men's basketball players garnered 2012 Honors Court recognition by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) for their success in the classroom. Manhattan College graduates Kevin Laue (Pleasanton, Calif.), Liam McCabe-Moran (New Rochelle, N.Y.) and rising junior Torgrim Sommerfeldt (Drammen, Norway) received the accolade for maintaining a cumulative grade point average above a 3.2 at the conclusion of the 2011-2012 academic year.

The Jaspers placed the most student-athletes on the NABC Honors Court among all 10 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) institutions. The trio was also named to the 2012 MAAC All-Academic Team. Siena's OD Anosike and Fairfield's Ryan Olander were the two other student-athletes to represent the MAAC on the prestigious NABC Honors Court.
