NEW YORK - Manhattan College head men's basketball coach Steve Masiello will be one of 10 area coaches who will take part in Thursday's "Hoops & Heroes" event.
Sponsored by PepsiCo, the United Service Organizations of Metropolitan New York and Five-Star Basketball Camp, the event will showcase members of the United States military and New York City first responders taking part in a three on three basketball tournament beginning at 2:30pm at John Jay College. The event is open to the public.
As a kickoff to Memorial Day weekend, PepsiCo is partnering with the USO of metropolitan New York and Five-Star Basketball to recognize and celebrate our troops. A variety of PepsiCo brands, including Gatorade, Pepsi and PepsiMAX, will sample products, give away items and provide entertainment, including a performance by the premier streetball organization, Ball Up Streetball.
