RIVERDALE, N.Y. - A brand new Daktronics scoreboard was recently installed at Gaelic Park ahead of Manhattan College's fall seasons.
The scoreboard is 18 feet wide and eight feet high and features sharper numbers that are able to be seen from multiple parts of Gaelic Park thanks to LED digits and indicators.
The scoreboard installation is another part of the continuous renovation of Gaelic Park in recent years. The main transformation to Gaelic Park was the resurfacing of the playing field, in conjunction with the Gaelic Athletic Association. The FieldTurf surface allows the field to be easily maintained and used all year, despite any inclement weather.
The fall season begins next week, on Friday, August 23 when Manhattan College's women's soccer team will meet Fordham for a 7 p.m. match at Gaelic Park.
