Women's Lacrosse Team Again Takes Part in Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk
For the second consecutive year, the Manhattan women's lacrosse team participated in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk. The event was held Sunday, Oct. 18th, in Central Park.
"The girls bundled up and braved the cold wind and rain for a day that was full of fun and dedication," said Manhattan head coach Jim Drivas. "This was the second year the girls gathered to support breast cancer research and participated in this event."
The Central Park walk is six miles long and people can participate as individuals or as part of teams. The Lady Jaspers walked as part of the Manhattan College Kappa Delta Pi team.
The walk honors breast cancer survivors as well as those lost to the disease. The event helps to raise awareness and all money raised goes to breast cancer research to help end this disease.
