Jennifer Rivera Joins Athletic Training Staff

RIVERDALE, N.Y. - Jennifer Rivera has joined the Manhattan College athletic staff as an assistant athletic trainer, Athletic Director Bob Byrnes announced today.  A 2007 graduate of Dominican College of Blauvelt, NY, Rivera comes to Riverdale from Forme Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine in Scarsdale, N.Y.

While at Forme, Rivera served as the Head Athletic Trainer at Mount Vernon High School and worked closely with the baseball, softball, football, volleyball, and track and field teams.  She was also responsible for athlete care, injury prevention and rehabilitation, and out-of-season treatment within the clinical setting.  Rivera has also done athletic training work for Dominican College, Nyack College, Albertus Magnus High School, Yeshiva University, Suffern High School and the Armory Track & Field Center.

Rivera received her degree in athletic training from Dominican in December 2007.  While at Dominican, she worked closely with the men's and women's basketball teams, as well as the baseball, softball and lacrosse squads.  In addition, Rivera was a four-year member of the Chargers' Division II volleyball program.
