RIVERDALE
, N.Y. - Manhattan College head men's basketball coach Barry Rohrssen, Board of Trustees member Patrick Boyle and assistant coach Scott Padgett showed their support for The V Foundation on October 13 with their attendance at the 2010 Jimmy V Basketball Classic Dinner Auction. Rohrssen and Boyle joined ESPN's Mike Tirico, the event host, MSG's Jon Rothstein and National Championship coaches Tom Izzo (Michigan State), Jim Boeheim (Syracuse) and Bill Self (Kansas) at the annual event which has helped The V Foundation raise over $100 million to fund cancer research grants nationwide.

The Jaspers were also joined by fellow MAAC men's coaches Chuck Martin (Marist), John Dunne (Saint Peter's), Tommy Dempsey (Rider) and women's coach Brian Giorgis (Marist). Josh Pastner (Memphis) and women's coaches Gary Blair (Texas A&M) and Joanne P. McCallie (Duke) were also on hand for the unified effort to generate funds for the worthwhile cause.

The V Foundation for Cancer Research was founded in 1993 by ESPN and the late Jimmy Valvano, legendary NC State basketball coach and ESPN commentator.  The V Foundation awards 100 percent of all donations and net proceeds of events directly to cancer research and related programs.  For more information, visit www.jimmyv.org.
