Manhattan Unveils 2011 Menís Golf Fall Schedule
RIVERDALE, N.Y. - The 2011 Manhattan College men's golf fall schedule was unveiled today by first-year Head Coach Jerry Wood. The slate features several tournaments, as well as three dual matches.
The Jaspers open the season at the Central Connecticut State University Blue Devils Fall Invitational at the Wethersfield Country Club in Wethersfield, Conn. The event begins on Friday, Sept. 9 and concludes on Sunday, Sept. 11. The following weekend, Manhattan will participate at the St. Joseph's Fall Invitational, which will be held at the Sprain Lake Golf Club in Middle Island on Friday, Sept. 16.
Manhattan will have no breaks in the schedule, taking part in the third annual Northeast Intercollegiate Golf Championships at the Timberlin Golf Club in Berlin, Conn. from Sept. 17-19. The Jaspers will then travel to Pennsylvania to take part in the Susquehanna University Golf Invitational at the Susquehanna Valley Country Club (Selinsgrove, Pa.) on Sept. 24.
Manhattan's dual match portion of the fall schedule begins September 27 at the Siwaony Country Club in Bronxville. It continues October 4 at the Rock Spring Country Club in West Orange, N.J. The fall dual match finale will take place on October 8 against Assumption College at the Passaconaway Country Club in Litchfield, N.H. The Jaspers then conclude the fall season with the Southern New Hampshire University Fall Invite at Passaconaway on Oct. 9-10.
The Jaspers will resume the season in the spring, with that schedule to be announced at a later date. The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championships return to their usual home, Disney's Magnolia Golf Course in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., from April 27-29.
