RIVERDALE, N.Y. - For the eighth consecutive year, the Manhattan College women's basketball team and coaching staff participated in the annual Susan G. Komen New York City Race for the Cure, which was held on Sunday, Sept. 18 in Central Park. The Jaspers volunteered at the finish line, handing out bottles of water to the 25,000 runners/walkers as they completed the 5K course. The Komen NYC Race for the Cure is the largest annual fundraiser for the Greater New York City Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Last year's event raised $5.4 million for breast cancer research. For more information about Susan G. Komen for the Cure or to make a donation, visit www.komennyc.org.
