RIVERDALE, N.Y. - On Saturday, April 14, the Manhattan College women's lacrosse team will host Niagara at 1 p.m. on "AMA Saves Lives Day" at Gaelic Park.  Fans are encouraged to come to the game wearing red, and an information table about the importance of organ donation will be set up at the main gate.

AMA Saves Lives is an initiative started by the Collegiate American Marketing Association to raise awareness about the need for organ donation.  In addition, the AMA uses various social media platforms to inspire people to become registered donors or organ donor advocates.  Manhattan senior attacker Chrissy Gutenberger (Stony Point, N.Y.), who last year dealt with a life-threatening illness that doctors feared might require a kidney transplant, filmed a video for the AMA about her experience of overcoming her illness and returning to the field.
