Jaspers Stand 13th at Lafayette Invitational

Results - Round One

RIVERDALE
, N.Y. - The Manhattan men's golf team stands in 13th place after round one of the Lafayette Invitational with a team total of 328 entering Monday. Jaspers' freshman Mike Schutsky led the team with an 81 first round score, while junior Matthew Creamer and sophomore Chris Calabro posted 82s with 18 holes left to play.

Hofstra paced the field with a team score of 291 as the Pride were led by Brandon Shin who enters round two standing two strokes under par. Fairleigh Dickinson is second with a 306 team mark.

Individually, Shutsky is in 57th place with his 81 on day one, Creamer and Calabro are tied for 60th place. All three of the Jaspers top scorers posted 40s on the back nine. Creamer finished even par on 12 of the 18 holes, which tied for the sixth most pars after day one.

Jaspers' sophomore Jonathan Feuer led the squad with a 37 after nine holes, but with a 46 on the back nine he finished the afternoon with an 83.

Manhattan resumes action on Monday at the Lafayette Invitational nine strokes behind Saint Peter's that stands in 12th place with a 319 team score.
