RIVERDALE, N.Y. - Head Coach John Olenowski of the Manhattan College women's basketball team will be a featured speaker at a "Chalk Talk" at Fordham University's Rose Hill Gym on Friday, June 22. Joining Olenowski as presenters are U.S. Merchant Marine Academy Head Men's Coach Danny Nee, as well as Fordham Head Coaches Stephanie Gaitley and Tom Pecora.
Olenowski recently completed his third season at Manhattan. He led the Jaspers to an 18-16 overall record and an appearance in the semifinals of the Women's Basketball Invitational (WBI) in 2011-12. It was Manhattan's second straight WBI appearance, marking the first time in program history that the Jaspers played in the postseason in back-to-back years. In 2010-11, Olenowski led the Jaspers to a program-record 24 victories. His overall record at Manhattan is 57-41. The "Chalk Talk," which runs from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., is an opportunity for coaches to share and pick-up new ideas in an informal setting. The event is open to AAU, high school and college coaches. |
