RIVERDALE, N.Y. - The Manhattan College men's and women's swimming teams have been recognized for their success in the classroom by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).  Both squads were named CSCAA Scholar All-American Teams for the 2012 Spring semester.

This marks the 31st consecutive semester that the women's team has received the honor.  The Jaspers also received an NCAA Public Recognition Award for their success on the annual Academic Progress Report (APR).  On the men's side, the Jaspers were selected for the fourth time in the last seven semesters.

The CSCAA gives out the Scholar All-American Team award each semester to all college swimming & diving programs with a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or higher.  The women's team had a cumulative GPA of 3.11, while the men's team's cumulative GPA was 3.03.  The Clemson and Alabama women (3.62) and Yale men (3.62) boasted the best team GPAs across all Division I institutions.
