BROOKLYN HOOPS™ Holiday Invitational Public On-Sale Oct. 8
RIVERDALE, N.Y. - BROOKLYN HOOPSTM Holiday Invitational at Barclays Center, which features a contest between the Manhattan men's basketball team and South Carolina, will go on sale Monday, Oct. 8 at 10 a.m. Tickets will be available through Ticketmaster, the presenting sponsor of BROOKLYN HOOPSTM, and can be purchased at www.barclayscenter.com or www.ticketmaster.com, by calling 800-745-3000, or at the American Express Box Office at Barclays Center.
BROOKLYN HOOPSTM Holiday Invitational will take place on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012 tipping off at 3 p.m. with Tulane taking on Hofstra. The Jaspers and Gamecocks are slated for the second game at 5:30 p.m. followed by Seton Hall and LIU Brooklyn.
"We are very excited to be involved with Barclays Center in its opening year and to have the opportunity to go against a storied program like South Carolina of the Southeastern Conference. It is a great opportunity for our program," explained Manhattan head coach Steve Masiello.
It will be Manhattan's eighth meeting all-time with the Gamecocks. The programs have not met since the 1980-81 campaign in Columbia, S.C., with the Jaspers under the direction of former head coach and current radio analyst Brian Mahoney '71.
