Men's Soccer To Host 1-Day Elite Clinic
RIVERDALE, N.Y. - Manhattan men's soccer coaches Ashley Hammond and Jorden Scott are delighted to offer a 1-day elite clinic to all male High School players, outfield and goalkeepers. The aim of the camp is to provide the camper with an inside experience of what life is like to be a Division 1 student athlete. The experience involves soccer seminars, a tour of the campus, and college level sessions. The camp also offers the players an opportunity to play games and build on their technical skill and tactical knowledge, gain in depth knowledge of game analysis and be educated in strength and conditioning training.
Hammond is in his third season as Head Coach of the Jaspers. Before arriving at Manhattan, he was a predominant force within youth soccer through various clubs in North Jersey and is currently the proud owner of Soccer Domain Academy and Director of Soccer Domain Football Club. Ashley holds a Bachelors Degree in Physical Education and Coaching and authored Goal: The Ultimate Guide for Soccer Parents.
Scott is in his third season as an assistant with the Jaspers. Prior to arriving at Manhattan Jorden spent the past 14 years working at the highest level of soccer in the UK and the States, including leading his U15 boys to the National Championships in 2011. Jorden holds his UEFA B Coaching Badge, NSCAA Advanced National Diploma a BSc in Sports Psychology is currently finishing off his Dual Masters degree in Special Education and Physical Education.
Camp Schedule (subject to change):
9am: Registration and sign in at Draddy Gymnasium
9.30am: Technical and Tactical game session
11am: Soccer Seminar and tour of the main campus
1pm: Lunch
1.45pm: Strength and Conditioning Training
2.45pm: Game Play (small sided to full field)
4.30pm: Pick up and departure
Players must bring their own uniform, cleats/boots, shin-guards and a ball. Lunch is provided and if you have any specific eating requirements you must email beforehand and/or indicate on the sign up form.
