Stores Named MAAC Rookie of the Week
Stores averaged 10.5 points per game shooting 61.5% (8-13) from the field in two games. He also added nine assists without having a turnover in the two contests while shooting 71.4% (5-7) from three-point range. The 5'11" sophomore's top performance of the week came on Sunday at home as he helped the Jaspers to a 75-55 victory over Siena. Stores set career highs with 12 points and six assists while shooting a perfect 4-for-4 from three-point territory.
He also grabbed five rebounds and swiped two steals in 24 minutes coming off the bench as Manhattan improved to 2-0 at home. On Friday, Stores poured in nine points and had three assists at Marist while going 4-for-8 (50.0%) against the Red Foxes.
Manhattan (3-5, 1-1 MAAC) returns to action on Sun., Dec. 16 when they travel to Brooklyn, N.Y. for a 4 p.m. contest with Long Island University.
