John Lade Takes Part in Champion Challenge

LAKE BUENA VISTA, FLA. - Manhattan Men's Lacrosse assistant coach John Lade (pictured above) took part in the Champion® Challenge, a US Lacrosse event, as a member of the US Men's National team. The event took place on Jan. 27 where they faced the reigning NCAA Champion Loyola Greyhounds.

Showcased at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., Notre Dame and Jacksonville University also participated in the eighth annual event.

A former standout defenseman at Syracuse, Lade enters play key minutes in the USA's 17-13 win over the Greyhounds. It was the second time in his playing career that Lade was named to the squad after playing for the under-19 team in 2008.
