RIVERDALE, N.Y. - Junior starting goalkeeper Christina Fiorinelli earned Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Defensive Player of the Week honors for the week beginning Monday, April 21. This marks the second time the junior has earned the award this season.

Fiorinelli had a very impressive week for Manhattan, racking up 16 saves in two contests. On Wednesday, in the Jaspers final MAAC game of the spring, Fiorinelli recorded 10 saves in a 12-2 win over conference rival Iona. She followed that performance with a six-save effort in the Jaspers final game of the season, an 8-7 loss to Columbia, on Saturday night.

The junior has started every game for Manhattan since arriving in Riverdale for her freshman year.

The Jaspers finished the 2014 season with a 4-13 overall mark, including 2-6 against MAAC opponents.
