 Fresh off a series victory, Manhattan (13-29; 7-8 MAAC) returns home for three games against Quinnipiac (15-27; 8-10 MAAC) this weekend starting with a 2:00 pm doubleheader on Saturday, May 6.

QUICK HITS (OFFENSE):
* Senior Matt Forlow went 6-for-8 with five runs, two doubles, two RBI and two stolen bases in last Sunday's doubleheader sweep of Rider.
* Junior Brendan Bisset is batting .527 (10-of-19) over his last four games and paces Manhattan with a team-leading .315 average, 12 multi-hit games and 22 RBI.
Senior Jose Carrera is hitting .333 (7-of-21) over his last five games with four runs, three stolen bases and three walks.
* Senior Evan Brown went 3-for-9 over the weekend but made perhaps the play of the year with a full-extension grab with the bases loaded in the Jaspers' series-clinching win. On the year, he is batting .305 with 12 doubles, two triples, a team-high four home runs and 17 RBI.
* Junior Michael Pfenninger has hit safely in six-straight games, batting .421 (8-of-19) during that time.
 
QUICK HITS (PITCHING):
* Over his last three starts, Cosgrove is 2-1 with 21 strikeouts and a 2.42 ERA over 22.1 innings while limiting opposing hitters to a .226 average.
* Cosgrove continues to pace the MAAC with 75 strikeouts (52nd NCAA) and is second in the circuit with 11.71 strikeouts per nine innings (28th NCAA).
* The Staten Island native is just five strikeouts shy of 200 for his career.
* Senior RHP Shawn Kanwisher earned the save and win in last weekend's doubleheader sweep of Rider.
* Over his last eight games, Kanwisher is 1-0 with four saves, a 1.23 ERA and 11 strikeouts over 14.2 innings while limiting opposing hitters to a .106 average. 

* Rocchietti struck out eight, against just one walk, while yielding three earned runs over 6.1 innings in a no-decision at Rider.
* Manhattan is 4-1 in MAAC games started by Rocchietti and 3-2 in games started by Cosgrove.
* Freshman RHP T.J. Stuart has been solid over his last nine outings, pitching to a 1.93 ERA with 17 strikeouts, against six walks, over 14.0 innings of action.

BATTER UP
* The Jaspers will be looking for their first series win over Quinnipiac since the Bobcats joined the MAAC prior to the 2014 season as the visitors lead the all-time series by a 6-3 count.
* Last year, Manhattan scored a season-high 17 runs in their its win over QU.
* Sophomore Fabian Pena hit .538 (7-of-13) with six runs, three doubles, one home run and five RBI over three games against Quinnipiac in 2016.
* Pfenninger and senior Jason Patnick each also hit .412 against the Bobcats a year ago with a combined five doubles and nine RBI.

QU NOTES
* Quinnipiac is led by Matt Batten, who is hitting .315 with 29 runs, 13 doubles, three home runs, 24 RBI and 13 stolen bases.
* Batten is two hits away from becoming the all-time hits leader in Bobcat history.
* Brian Moskey, who hit .727 (8-of-11) against Manhattan last year, checks in with a .303 average.
* Liam Scarfariello paces QU with 15 home runs and 32 RBI.
* Enns and Luciani each have a team-leading three wins on the year.

PENA NAMED TO JOHNNY BENCH AWARD LIST
Pena was named to the official watch list for the 2017 Johnny Bench Award presented by BaseballSavings.com as announced by the Greater Wichita Area Sports Commission. On the year, he is hitting .302 with 49 hits, 20 runs, 14 doubles, two home runs and 18 RBI while throwing out 32.7 percent (16-of-49) of runners on the bases.

THAT'S FAST

PENA GARNERS PRESEASON HONORS
On the heels of his landmark rookie campaign, Pena was tabbed as the MAAC Preseason Player of the Year in the annual Coaches Poll as well as by Baseball AmericaCollegiate BaseballD1 Baseball and Perfect Game.

TOP PROSPECT(S)
Pena also was selected as the No. 1 MAAC Pro Prospect for the 2018 Major League Baseball (MLB) Draft by D1Baseball.Com and was slated as the 130th top collegiate prospect for the 2018. Cosgrove was also slated as the top prospect for the 2017 MLB Draft by Baseball America and as the fourth-best by D1Baseball.Com. Additionally, Carrera was picked as the No. 10 pro prospect in the circuit by Baseball America.

NEWCOMERS
The Jaspers welcome nine student-athletes to the fold this year, including five pitchers and four position players.

MAAC PRESEASON POLL
Manhattan was tabbed to finish fourth and return to the MAAC Tournament in the annual preseason Coaches Poll for the second-straight year and fourth time in Duffy's tenure in Riverdale.

2006 TEAM INDUCTED TO HALL OF FAME
The landmark 2006 Jaspers' Baseball team that upset nationally ranked Nebraska en route to a second-place finish at the Lincoln Regional was selected to the Manhattan College Athletic Hall of Fame this past fall.
