Riverdale, N.Y. – Milan Jotanovic of Manhattan College was named MAAC Men’s Outdoor Track Performer of the Week, while teammate Malin Marmbrandt earned the distinction on the women’s side.
Jotanovic, a senior from Teslic, Bosnia-Herzegovina, broke his own shot put school record with a personal best 19.97-meters at the Baldy Castillo Invitational Track and Field Meet in Tempe, Arizona. Jotanovic qualified for the Beijing Olympics last summer, but had to skip the event due to injury. In 2007, he won the bronze medal at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
Marmbrandt, a junior from Sweden, captured the bronze medal in the women’s long jump with a 5.65-meter mark at the Baldy Castillo Invitational.
