2003 SUMMER: Placed fourth in the Men's Hammer Throw (70.08m) at the Senior National Championships (6/23/03) earning himself a spot on the USA Team...Finished third in the Men's Hammer Throw with a toss of 71.72 meters at the USA Track and Field Mid Summer Games (7/12/03) breaking the school record of 70.24 meters and qualified for the 2004 Olympic Trials. He is currently ranked fifth in the U.S. and 65th in the World.


2002-03 INDOOR: Placed first in the Weight Throw (21.31m) at the Manhattan Pentathlon and Throws Invitational (12/1/02)...captured first place in the Weight Throw (21.80m) at the Princeton Invitational (12/7/02)...at the Fordham Invitational (12/12/02) he placed first in the Weight Throw (20.66m)...finished first in the Weight Throw (20.52m) at the St. John's/Fordham Invitational (1/10/03)...at the Manhattan College Invitational (1/17/03) he finished first in the Weight Throw (21.0m)...earned first place in the Weight Throw (21.44m) at the Princeton Indoor Relays (1/25/03)...finished first in the Weight Throw (21.99m) and seventh in the Shot Put (14.71m) at the Metropolitan Indoor Championships (1/31/03)...at the Verizon Millrose Games (2/7/03) Freeman took second in the Weight Throw (21.39)...placed first in the Weight Throw (21.65m) at the Armory Collegiate Invitational (2/14/03)...captured first place in the Weight Throw (21.33m) and fourth in the Shot Put (14.07m) at the MAAC Indoor Track &Field Championships (2/22/03).


2002 SUMMER: Threw a personal best 69.75m in the Hammer at the Hammerama Invitational (7/24/02)...placed third (67.02m) in the Hammer at the Gotagalan Swedish Grand Prix in Karlstad, Sweden (7/25/02)...finished second (65.14m) in the Hammer Throw at the Bohusspelen Invitational in Uddevalla, Sweden (7/28/02)...won the Gold Medal in the Hammer Throw after throwing 66.49m at the North America Central America Caribbean Championships (NACAC) (8/12/02).


2002 OUTDOOR: Placed first (66.21m) in the Hammer at the Penn Relays (4/25/02)...set a new MAAC record and was crowned champion of the Hammer Throw with a mark of 64.10m at the MAAC Outdoor Championship (5/4/02)...captured first (63.07m) place in the Hammer and qualified for the IC4A in the Shot Put with a toss of 15.70m at the Broadmeade Invitational (5/7/02)...won (63.73m) the Hammer at the Metropolitan Outdoor Championship (5/10/02)...crowned champion with a toss of 65.93m in the Hammer at the IC4A Outdoor Championships (5/16/02)...placed fifth (67.95m) in the Hammer at the NCAA Outdoor Championships (5/29/02)...finished second (68.58m) in the Hammer at the Homdel International Invitational (6/10/02)...placed 11th (65.97m) in the Hammer at the USA Track & Field National Championships...captured first place (68.44m) in the Hammer at the Army Fall Throws Invitational (11/10/02).

Track and Field Connecticut Invitational.


1999-00 INDOOR: Placed 15th at the U.S. Olympic Trials as the youngest competitor by three years...ranked 13th in the United States in the Hammer Throw...ranked 19th in the world in the Weight Throw... won the IC4A Weight Throw (20.59m) (2/4/00)... captured first (20.21m) in the Weight Throw at the University of Connecticut Invitational...threw 20.15m to win the Princeton Invitational (1/23/00)...won the Jasper Relays (1/29/00)...captured first in the Metropolitan Championships (2/3/00)...NCAA qualifier...placed third at the Husker Invitational (2/11/00)...MAAC Weight Throw Champion...won the Hammer at the Hurricane Invitational (3/18/00) with a throw of 64.92m at the University of Miami...captured first (64.68m) in the Hammer, third (13.20m) in the Shot Put and fifth (47.4m) in the Javelin at the UNC-Wilmington Invitational (3/25/00)...placed eighth and earned All-American honors in the Weight Throw at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships.


HIGH SCHOOL: Seven-time All-American...owns the top 28 throws ever with the 12-lb Hammer and the top 21 marks with the 16-lb Hammer...two-time National Scholastic champion...set the US Junior National record in the 16-lb. Hammer (65.9m) and the national high school record in the 12-lb. Hammer (77.21m) as a senior...also holds the national high school record in the 25-lb. Weight Throw (23.53m) as well as the high school junior-class record in the 12-lb. Hammer (69.13m)...won the Junior National title in the 16-lb Hammer (65.01m) and finished second (64.89m) at the Pan-American Nationals...was undefeated by US thrower with both the 12-lb and 16-lb Hammer...named Track and Field News High School Men's Athlete of the Year, first hammer thrower and first Rhode Island native ever to earn the honor...named the 1999 Gatorade Circle of Champions National Player of the Year in men's track and field, also first for a Rhode Island track athlete...first American hammer thrower recruited since Manny Silviero (Class of 1981).


PERSONAL: Double-major in finance and computer information systems...parents are Tom and Joanne Freeman...two siblings, Michael and John. Michael is currently a member of the Jaspers track & field squad.
