RIVERDALE, N.Y. - The Manhattan College men's lacrosse team concluded its fall season on Sunday afternoon with two games at the Wishmaker Tournament at Dowling College.  On a cold and rainy day, the Jaspers notched a pair of victories.  Manhattan knocked off Stony Brook 7-6 and posted a 15-11 victory over Dowling.

The Jaspers beat Stony Brook in a game that consisted of two 20-minute halves, while the contest against Dowling was a regulation 60-minute game.  Matt Solomito (Holtsville, N.Y.), Connor Dougherty (Blue Point, N.Y.) and Tom Bruno (Wantagh, N.Y.) each saw time between the pipes, while Mike Brooks (Timunium, Md.) and Joe Lenihan (East Quogue, N.Y.) played well defensively.  On the offensive end, major contributions came from Kelly Mahon (Spring Lake, N.J.) and Jon Crean (Hamburg, N.Y.).

"Overall, the day was successful both on the field and off," Head Coach Tim McIntee said.  ""I would personally thank our Booster Club, parents, friends and alumni for supporting our team on the field and putting together a great tailgate after the game.  Thank you for all of your support, past, present and future."

The Wishmaker Tournament concluded Manhattan's 2009 fall schedule.  The Jaspers open the 2010 regular season with a nationally televised matchup at perennial national power Johns Hopkins on Feb. 20.
