GENERAL: Quality right hander who burst onto the scene as a freshman... versatile pitcher who can excel as a starter or coming out of the bullpen... locates the ball well and has good velocity... experienced postseason pitcher.

2012: MAAC Academic Honor Roll selection... led Manhattan and tied for third in the MAAC with 24 appearances on the hill... six wins tied for the second most in the MAAC... made five starts and came out of the bullpen in 19 contests... struck out 28 batters and gave up only 15 walks in 59 innings of work... ranked third on the team finishing eight games...registered a 3-1 record and 3.68 ERA against MAAC opponents... had a .231 batting average against in MAAC games... named MAAC Rookie of the Week twice on March 25 and April 23... earned first career win at Marist (3/25), pitching five dominant innings out of the bullpen giving up only two hits and posting two strikeouts... named to the national Primetime Performer Honor Roll by CollegeBaseball360.com on April 24 after carrying a perfect game into the sixth inning at Canisius (4/22)... faced the minimum 21 batters against Canisius (4/22), finishing with a two-hit shutout in the seven inning affair... made first career appearance at Florida Atlantic (2/25)... received first career start and notched a season-high four strikeouts in a 4-1 victory over Iona (4/1)... logged two saves in wins at Albany (4/25) and at Fairfield (5/5)... came out of the bullpen eight times in the final month of the regular-season allowing only two earned runs in  16 2/3 innings of action... made two appearances at the MAAC Tournament in Manhattan's championship run pitching 7 1/3 scoreless innings with two strikeouts in relief... earned his sixth win of the year eliminating Rider from the MAAC Tournament 6-5 after going four innings limiting the Broncs to three hits and one walk... pitched in the NCAA Tournament against Coastal Carolina (6/2).

BEFORE MANHATTAN: Three year starter at Pearl River High School playing under head coach Bruce Miller... earned All-Section I honors as a sophomore and senior... selected Second Team All-Rockland County as a sophomore and junior and First Team All-Rockland County as a senior... posted a 6-0 record with a 1.20 ERA as a senior and was named Section I Pitcher of the Year and Third Team All-New York State... recorded a 7-1 record with a 1.50 ERA as a junior... helped guide Pearl River to the Section I Conference 4-B title as a junior and senior... two year starter on the Pearl River football team playing for Jeff Michael... earned Section I Conference 4-B Linebacker of the Year Award.

PERSONAL:  Majoring in secondary math education... the son of Dennis and Ann Scarinci... has two sisters, Danielle, and Victoria who graduated from Manhattan College in 2011.
