GENERAL: Southpaw with above average fastball with good movement and control... has a deceptive out pitch... expected to be one of the Jaspers top returning starters.

2010: Made a team-high 11 starts, posted five wins and recorded a .5.27 ERA... struck out 44 batters in 70.0 innings pitched... logged a .303 batting average against... won four of his last five conference starts of the regular-season posting a 4.19 ERA and .263 batting average... recorded a career-high eight strikeouts en route to a victory over Niagara (5/2)... picked up first collegiate victory at Delaware (3/7) going six innings with seven strikeouts... ranked second on the team with 27 strikeouts in MAAC contests.

BEFORE MANHATTAN: Lettered two years of varsity ball at John Jay High School under head coach Tom O'Hare... helped guide John Jay to Section I League C Championship as a junior by earning two wins with 16 strikeouts over 17.2 innings of action... selected All-County, All-League and served as the Patriots team captain during senior campaign... tossed a no-hitter against Carmel on April 17, 2009 on the same day he signed a National Letter of Intent to play ball at Manhattan...pitched the New York Nine scout team to a 7-3 victory over the top-ranked squad in the country Florida Legends... a multi-sport athlete lettered two years at John Jay in basketball.

PERSONAL: A physical education major... the son of James and Bonnie Luksis... has a brother, Jason, who attended the College of Saint Rose... father played collegiate basketball at SUNY Morrisville... born in West Palm Beach, Fla.
