RIVERDALE, N.Y. - Manhattan College freshman Joe McClennan was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week for the second straight week. McClennan joins teammate Michael Scarinci as the only repeat winners of the award this season.

He hit a team best .455, stole two bases and scored five runs against the Saints. McClennan also did not commit an error in his three starts at third base. He led the Jaspers with a .545 slugging percentage and .500 on-base percentage as Manhattan clinched the top seed at the 2012 MAAC Tournament later this week at Joe Bruno Stadium in Troy, N.Y.

The Jaspers will vie for their third MAAC title beginning with their opening round contest with Rider on Thursday at 3 p.m. The MAAC Baseball Championships run from May 24 - 27, if necessary. For more information visit MAAC Championship Central.
