2012 CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major All-America Defensive Team Brown powered Manhattan with his strong defensive play coming off the bench in 26 of 34 appearances. He finished the season ranked 20th in NCAA Division I averaging 2.47 blocks per contest. The 6'6" 215-pound forward from Brooklyn was even better in MAAC contests with 2.8 blocks per game. In only two years with the program, Brown ranks third on the career blocks chart with 152. He swatted five or more shots in five games during the season, and posted a career-high six blocks on two occasions to help lead Manhattan past Saint Peter's (Dec. 4) and Hofstra (Dec. 10). Brown was a major presence on the glass as the grabbed 106 of his 166 rebounds on the defensive end of the floor. In 19.1 minutes per game, Brown averaged 7.9 points, 4.9 rebounds and he was second in the MAAC with a 60.1% field goal percentage. |
