SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Seven members of the Manhattan College women's basketball team have been named to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) All-Academic Team, it was announced on Friday. The Jaspers' seven selections were the most in the league. Junior guard Maggie Blair (Briarcliff, N.Y.), a business major, boasted the only perfect 4.00 GPA in the conference. Blair was named to the MAAC All-Academic Team for the second time. Forward Nadia Peters (Bronx, N.Y.), who received a bachelor's degree from Manhattan in May 2011 and is currently pursuing a master's degree, earned a place on the MAAC All-Academic Team for the fourth straight season. Seniors Alyssa Herrington (Cambridge, N.Y.) and Lindsey Loutsenhizer (North Huntingdon, Pa.) were both selected to the All-Academic squad for the third straight time. First time All-Academic selections included sophomores Jazmine Jarvis (Henderson, Nev.), Monica Roeder (Marlton, N.J.) and Allison Skrec (Roselle, N.J.) To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, student-athletes must have completed at least two semesters at their institution and have a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher.
