Women’s Soccer Places Seven on MAAC All-Academic Team

RIVERDALE, N.Y. -  Seven Manhattan College women's soccer players were recognized for their academic excellence by the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference at the 2011 MAAC Championships Award Banquet. Earning MAAC All-Academic Team honors were Kara Davis (Jr. - Redding, Conn. - Exercise Science), Keara Hunt (So. - Hopewell Junction, N.Y. - Physical Education), Nicole Landes (Jr. - Stony Point, N.Y. - Accounting), Megan Lavecchia (Sr. - Pomona, N.Y. - Exercise Science), Jordan Luithle (Jr. - Basking Ridge, N.J. - Communications), Allison Pfeiffer (Jr. - Floral Park, N.Y. - Special Education) and Maria Sanzari (So. - North Haven, Conn. - Special Education).

To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0-scale.
