| Latino Sets Two More Manhattan Records at MAACs | |||

BUFFALO, N.Y. - Senior Bridget Latino broke her own school record in the 100 yard butterfly on day two of competition at the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championships at the Burt Flickinger Athletic Center in Buffalo, N.Y.
In the preliminary round, Latino swam a 58.46 in the event beating the old mark of 59.94 seconds she set at last years conference championships. The senior would place 8th in the finals that night, almost lowering the record again, with a time of 58.61 seconds. Latino would also team up for another Jaspers record in the 200 medley relay. She, along with Kerry Schuermann, Mary Kate O'Leary and Vanessa L'Heureux bested the old mark with a time of 1:56.00 seconds. The old record was 1:56.87 seconds set at the 2006 MAAC Championships. After two days of competition, Manhattan sits 10th place overall with 57 points. The final day of competition begins at 10:00 a.m. on Sat. Feb. 18 on the campus of Erie Community College. |
