Manhattan Visits Bucknell On Sunday
RIVERDALE, NY – The Manhattan College women’s lacrosse team will hit the road on Sunday looking for its first win of the season. The Jaspers (0-2) return to action for the first time in 10 days with a 1 p.m. matchup at Bucknell (4-1).
Manhattan hasn’t played since dropping a 13-7 decision at La Salle on Feb. 22. Kara Hodapp (Oak Ridge, NJ) and Darby Nolan (Oak Ridge, NJ) lead the Jaspers with three goals apiece, while Nolan has tallied a squad-high four points. Emma Kaishian (Yorktown, NY) has collected six ground balls and is tied for the team lead with four draw controls, while Hailey Siemek (Bel Air, MD) paces the Jaspers with five caused turnovers. In goal, Nikki Prestiano (Yorktown Heights, NY) has made 20 saves and recorded a goals against average of 12.00.
Bucknell has won two straight, including a 16-6 triumph over Wagner last Saturday. Maddy Molinari leads the Bison with 13 goals, and she’s also recorded 30 draw controls this season. Eve Lukowski has added 10 goals, while Audrey Walsh paces the squad with 17 points. Annie Gilbertson is the team leader in both ground balls (14) and caused turnovers (16). Goalkeeper Jamie DeWitt, meanwhile, has 39 saves and a 9.23 goals against average this season.After playing two straight on the road, the Jaspers will play the first of back-to-back home games on Wednesday, when they welcome Lafayette (4-2) to Gaelic Park for a 3 p.m. matchup.
