RIVERDALE, NY – Both of this week's ATAX Manhattan College Student-Athletes of the Week are members of the outdoor track & field team.  Sophomore Lisa Fajardo (Brooklyn, NY) was chosen on the women's side, while the men's honors went to junior Love Litzell (Ostersund, Sweden).

Fajardo broke a 19-year-old school record in the 5000 meters at Princeton University's Larry Ellis Invitational on Friday night.  She finished 11th overall with a time of 17:03.97, which was nearly two seconds faster than the previous mark, set by Cheryl Simoni in 1988.

Litzell, meanwhile, moved into 15th place on the qualifying list for the NCAA East Preliminary Round in the hammer throw.  He finished second at the Larry Ellis Invitational with a season-best mark of 67.12 meters (220 feet, two inches).  Litzell was also selected as the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Field Performer of the Week for that effort.
