Tice Sets Women’s High Jump School Record and Posts NCAA Qualifying Mark at Larry Ellis Meet in Princeton

Manhattan College’s Megan Tice set a school record Saturday in the women’s high jump at the Larry Ellis Invitational meet at Princeton University with a 1.75m mark that qualified her for the NCAA Regional Outdoor Championships.  Also setting an NCAA qualifying mark at the meet was Albert Johnson III with a second place finish in the men’s long jump in 7.39m.

 

Johnson also won the triple jump at the meet with a 14.46m mark, grabbing one of three Jasper gold medals at the meet.  The other golds were won by Malin Marmbrandt in the women’s long jump with a 5.79m mark and Kelton Cumberbatch in the men’s 400m hurdles with a time of 52.71.

 

Other top performances on the second day of the meet in New Jersey included:

 

  • Seid Mujanovic taking silver in the men’s weight throw with a mark of 62.89; teammate Karl-Erik Ludvigsson finished third with a toss of 62.58m

 

  • Siri Fagerlund winning bronze in the women’s 100m hurdles in 14.46.

 

 

 

  • Hargrove setting a personal record in the 400m run with a seventh place finish in 57.66.

 

  • Additionally, Manhattan grad Jacob Freeman won the hammer throw with mark of 76.85, which was a facility record, the best throw in the United States this year and was the fifth best throw in the world this season.
