Maeve Parahus Earns MAAC All-Academic Team Honors
RIVERDALE, NY – For the third time in her career, senior guard Maeve Parahus (Congers, NY) of the Manhattan College women’s basketball team has been selected to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) All-Academic Team. Only those student-athletes who’ve completed at least two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher are eligible for All-Academic Team honors. Parahus, a physical education major, was selected all three times in which she was eligible.
She never missed a game in her Manhattan career, appearing in 121 consecutive contests during her time in Riverdale. Parahus drained her 100th career three-pointer at Marist on Feb. 26, making her just the 12th player in program history to reach that milestone.
As a senior, she averaged 5.2 points per game and shot .323 from three-point range. Parahus finished second on the team with 40 treys and 1.3 three-pointers per contest.
