RIVERDALE, N.Y. - The Manhattan College women's basketball team has completed its 2010-11 roster with the addition of incoming freshman Allison Skrec (Roselle, N.J.), Head Coach John Olenowski announced today.  Skrec rounds out the Lady Jaspers' Class of 2014, which also includes Jazmine Jarvis (Henderson, Nev.), Brandone Roberts (Jessup, Md.) and Monica Roeder (Marlton, N.J.).

A 5-foot-6 guard, Skrec is a two-time Union County Player of the Year.  She led Roselle Catholic High School to a school-best 23-3 record and its second straight Union County Tournament title in 2010.  Skrec averaged 18.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.8 steals as a senior, as Roselle Catholic finished the year ranked No. 19 in New Jersey according to the Newark Star-Ledger.  She is Roselle Catholic's all-time leading scorer with 1,338 career points.

"We are very happy to welcome Allison into our Manhattan family," Olenowski said.  "She played for an outstanding championship school, and I feel that she can add plenty of important intangibles to our program.  Allison is a very fundamentally sound, versatile player who can really help us at multiple positions."

The four newcomers join a roster that also features 11 returning letterwinners from last season's 15-15 squad.  The Lady Jaspers are scheduled to open the 2010-11 campaign on Nov. 12.
