Riverdale, NY - Marist defeated Manhattan 3-0 on Senior Night before a boisterous crowd at Gaelic Park.

Prior to the match, the Jaspers recognized the senior trio of Lauren Barton (Charlton, MA / Shepherd Hill), Jenny Bitzer (Messstetten, Germany / Louisiana Tech) and Tara Teal (Delmar, NY / Bethlehem).

In the opening half, the Red Foxes struck first in the 20th minute when Tori Flaherty finished low off a free kick to open the scoring.

Manhattan then went on the offensive and appeared poised to score in the 31st minute when sophomore Caroline Taylor (Glen Rock, NJ / Glen Rock) sent in a beautiful cross that hit the post and was denied when Marist goalkeeper Makala Foley quickly corralled the ball.

Just over three minutes later, Briana Robinson scored off a Camille Bowen corner kick to stake the visitors to a 2-0 lead in the 35th minute.

After halftime, the Red Foxes capped the scoring when Keri Bradley found the back of the net on a penalty kick in the 51st minute.

Freshman Olivia Printy (Ponte Vedra Beach, FL / St. Joseph Academy) made four saves while Foley notched three stops in earning the win.

Marist improves to 8-7-1 and 4-3-1 in the MAAC while Manhattan falls to 5-9-1 and 3-4-1 in the league.

The Jaspers return to action at Siena on Saturday, October 22 with opening kick slated for 1:00 pm.
