Bitzer, Modena Earn All-MAAC Second Team Honors

 Manhattan placed seniors Jenny Bitzer (Messstetten, Germany / Louisiana Tech) and Erica Modena (Massapequa, NY / Massapequa) on the All-MAAC Second Team as announced at the league's annual postseason banquet.

Bitzer Highlights:

* Earned All-MAAC Second Team honors for the second-straight year
* Last year's MAAC Defensive Player of the Year, paced a Jasper unit that yielded just 23 goals
* Scored her lone goal of the year in 3-0 win over Iona
* One of 30 finalists for the Senior CLASS Award 

Modena Highlights:
* Paced the squad in scoring with four goals, two assists and 10 points
* Earned All-MAAC accolades and led Manhattan in goals for the third time in her career
* Notched game-winning scores against Iona & LIU Brooklyn.
* Will enter her redshirt senior campaign fourth in school history with 23 goals

Monmouth's Alexis McTamney was voted Offensive Player of the Year while Siena's Tara Sobierjaski was tabbed as Defensive Player of the Year. Rider's Bethany May-Howard earned MAAC Goalkeeper of the Year honors while Monmouth's Maddie Gibson was named MAAC Rookie of the Year with Krissy Turner of Monmouth garnering MAAC Coach of the Year accolades.  

Manhattan was well-represented on the MAAC All-Academic Team (3.2 GPA or higher) as 12 of the 18 eligible student-athletes earned recognition:
