Riverdale, NY – The ATAX Manhattan College Student-Athletes of the Week are junior Kayla Grimme (Altoona, PA / Altoona Area) of the women’s basketball team and classmate Zane Waterman (Winston-Salem, NC / Fayetteville Academy) from the men's team.

Grimme, who was also named the MAAC Player of the Week, averaged 29.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocks over the Jaspers' final two regular season games. She had 25 points, five rebounds and three blocks against Monmouth before erupting for a career-high 34 points at Marist. Grimme tied this season’s MAAC single-game high while notching the first 30-point performance by a Manhattan player since Monica Roeder had 35 against East Tennessee State on November 19, 2011.  She scored 30 points in the second half alone (including 21 in the fourth quarter) and went a perfect 6-for-6 from three-point range in the game.

Waterman averaged 25.0 ppg and 8.5 rpg while shooting 59.3 percent (16-of-27) from the floor and 88.2 percent (15-of-17) from the line. The North Carolina native scored a game-high 30 points with nine rebounds at Rider before adding 20 points and eight caroms at Iona. Waterman has now scored at least 20 points on eight occasions, including notching two 30-point performances.
